One thing I’ve learned in managing Geoff’s website for the last few years is that science fiction seems to be enjoyed by nerds. Also geeks. Occasionally dweebs. One or two jocks. A few hippies, who should never be confused with hipsters, yet who all enjoy the SF. Yuppies, gen X-ers, boomers, the Greatest Generation. Okay, everybody enjoys SF, but it started with the nerds, right? Working with that assumption, I think the following announcement would be of interest to the nerds, geeks, dweebs… all right, everyone should be interested. Everyone, that is, who has passing interest or experience with the strange human phenomenon known as Dungeons and Dragons or table-top role playing games.
For those of you living in Vancouver (or nearby in SeaBase 06), mark off Wednesday, June 27th on your calendar, when you can catch the final The Critical Hit Show at the Rio Theatre. The Critical Hit Show is a live Dungeons and Dragons improv comedy show. Translation: the Critical Hit Show is freakin’ hilarious. Join them for their final adventure at the end of the month, as they stumble out of the dwarven tavern and head off to face the evil Jarrod.
Correction: this is not their final adventure, just their confrontation with Jarrod! The Critical Hit Show rolls on! Keep your last Wednesdays of the month booked from now until the Montessori Incident, when all the world’s schedules will become markedly unreliable.
Post-Correction: Please ignore all mention of the Montessori Incident. It’s one of those events from your future history I’m really not supposed to mention.

Awesome, thanks! I will point out that the June show will not be our finale. Or if it is, this is a weird way to find out. I am not sure about Eric’s adventuring plans for the party, but I believe we are drawing to a close on the current part of our story (confrontation with the evil Jarrod), but we’ll be showing up the last Wednesday of the month until the Rio tells us to stop.
