Geoff gave me his Valentine’s Day card. It came in the form of an email:
“Cras,
Time for an update, don’t you think? Fourteen on fourteen, that has a nice ring to it.
P.S. For the last time, I won’t be your valentine. You know I’m married.”
It did occur to me that as an athiest, Geoff might not celebrate St. Valentine’s day. That might explain his refusal. As an enthusiast for whiskeys both fine and otherwise from the nation of Scotland, he might just celebrate Ballantines day, so I’ll try sending him a bottle of Ballantines 17 next year and see if that works.
